Help wanted!

If you or anybody you know is interested in becoming a leader for Daisy Scouts, please contact me.  I have a daughter entering Kindergarten this Fall at Fair Park and as of now, there is no troop for incoming Kindergarteners.  I will probably have a table set up on picture day at school to see if any incoming Kindergarteners/parents would be interested.  I would be more than happy to help assist a new Troop.
THANKS!

End of year Ice Cream Social {part 1}

 For our end of the year party, we had an ice cream social.  Once I decide on a theme, I pretty much run with it and tend to go overboard.  I'm a little crazy like that.  LOL!
 I found these cute ice cream trucks on Etsy.  Paper Glitter is one of my FAVES!
 I loved that the file was editable and they had their name on the truck and I was able to put a message on the back.

 First up, we decorated old time soda jerk hats with stickers, markers and crayons.  Then it was time for them to make their own ice cream sundaes.
 We had vanilla ice cream, Hershey syrup, Hershey chocolate chips, crushed Oreo's, sprinkles and cherries. Everything was peanut free.

Here's the girls in their hats.
I also gave them a little treat bag which included, ice cream bubbles, a Daisy magnet that I made and their fun patch.  Hope fun was had by all!  Thanks girls for an AWESOME first year!

Fourth of July parade

 We had some real troopers who marched in the heat in the Fourth of July parade.-Autumn, Claire, Addison, Lydia, Makiah, Olivia and Kaitlin.  We had plenty of water and we had a squirt bottle too which they enjoyed being sprayed.
 Here we are waiting...
 About ready to go...(we also lost 2 hands on the banner before the parade even started and a petal, which I found later on the wagon wheel)
Marching...
 Here we are crossing over Hwy. 33.  We had Autumn's dad carry the American flag in the front and then we had the G.S. flag next to him.  Then we had our banner and the 2 other flags were behind the banner.  We did not carry the Brownie flag.  At the end of the parade, the girls enjoyed popsicles and received their patch.

I'd like to thank the volunteers that walked with us...Tim Spence; Autumn's dad, Julie Rehfeldt; Claire's mom, Tabitha Hansen; Addison's mom, and Linda Weiss; Makiah's grandma.
THANK YOU!!!
